What They Wanted to Achieve:

  • Build a faith-based brand and website that tells one unified story — the healing bond between rescued horses and the trauma/addiction survivors they serve
  • Create an easy, transparent donation platform so donors (businesses and individuals) can give confidently and see how their contributions make an impact
  • Establish credibility and visibility before their 501(c)3 status is even finalized, so they’re ready to launch the moment approval comes through
  • Make room for ongoing storytelling — ranch updates, horse rescues/adoptions, and volunteer opportunities — so the site grows alongside the organization
  • Honor the legacy of Molly Genevieve Batterman as the heart and “why” behind the mission

The logodesign

Safe Pastures’ primary mark brings together the heart of their story — horses, nature, protection, and restoration — into one cohesive icon. At its center is a simplified horse profile, surrounded by flowing lines that echo pasture grasses and the gentle movement of wind, symbolizing growth and renewal.

Beneath the horse, a pair of hands cradles and lifts the scene, representing the care, support, and protection Safe Pastures offers — to both the horses they rescue and the individuals who find healing alongside them.

Moredetails

Safe Pastures exists to rescue and rehabilitate both horses and humans — providing a safe haven where abused and neglected horses find new purpose, and where trauma and addiction survivors, along with their families, rediscover trust, strength, and renewal through the healing bond between them. As a faith-based nonprofit preparing to launch under new 501(c)3 status, the organization needed a brand and website ready to welcome donors, families, and volunteers from day one.

Artillery designed a homepage that puts the mission front and center: a welcoming hero inviting visitors to “Give Horses and Humans a Second Chance,” an “About” section introducing the heart behind Safe Pastures, and a Programs section spotlighting Equine Assisted Learning, Horse Rescue, and Horse Adoption side by side.

Further down, the site honors the legacy of Molly Genevieve Batterman, surfaces blog updates and community resources, and closes with a strong call to action — “Together We Heal” — inviting visitors to give, volunteer, or find healing themselves. The result is a site that’s as much a ministry as it is a resource, built to grow alongside Safe Pastures as their story unfolds.
